Since 2007, words and their placement in space have been one of the main points of development for Laura Gonzalez Cabrera's work. This explains her interest for writing and painting to express actions. Form becomes all that remains of this practice, gestures become the smallest unit of information and reiterating them becomes a kind of mantra. They are gestures calculated and ordered into reticular structures where colour, strokes and letters invite the viewer to scrutinize surfaces in search of some sense. The whole process is determined in advance with numeric, chromatic and geometric rules. It materialises through a process which rigurously meets the invariable protocols which are a kind of ritual. Visible and invisible become one, that is, the written word meets the experiences which it evokes, a link which translates into symbolic illegibility.
